Age Group Road Nationals (Cambridge)

The 2017 event will see the best Age Group (Youth, Junior and Masters) riders compete for Time Trial and Road Racing titles in Cambridge, Waikato.

This is your opportunity to represent your Club in the event that was formally known as the Club Roads. The 2017 event format will follow a revised 3-day format (was 4-days). This new format will be piloted for 2017 and reviewed fully post event.

This pilot has come from the necessity to avoid a clash with World Masters Games (WMG2017). It also reduces the time that riders, supporters and volunteer commissaires will need to be absent from school and work. It also allows those Masters riders who wish to take part in the WMG2017 and the Age Group National Championships the opportunity to do so.

Time Trial: Friday 5th May
Road Racing Day 1: Saturday 6th May
Road Racing Day 2: Sunday 7th May

The event programme and courses are currently been finalised and will be announced shortly.

The event is delivered in partnership with Cycling New Zealand

Forest Estate Grape Ride (Marlborough)

The award winning Forrest GrapeRide is the largest and most popular cycling event in the South Island of New Zealand.
Set in the heart of the world renowned wine growing region of Marlborough, it starts and finishes at the award winning winery of Forrest Wines, Renwick.
The standard 101km course is a ride through what can only be described as a picture postcard of some of New Zealand's most beautiful scenery.

The Forrest Graperide has successfully run its first (2016 event) of three qualifying events for the UCI Gran Fondo World Championship. This means the event will continue as the same enjoyable cycling challenge as always but with more opportunities for you as a rider. Over 300 riders qualified to compete at the UCI Gran Fondo World Championship in Perth, Australia and those that went to the event from this group made up 9% of the total field at the finals
